Deep Tissue Laser Therapy (Class IV)

What is Deep Tissue Laser Therapy and how does it work?

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy is a relatively new treatment option for musculoskeletal and other health conditions. It is a non-pharmacological, non-invasive therapy that directs high energy light at the source of pain. This light energy accelerates the body's own healing process at a cellular level (called photo-bio-modulation). Unlike pharmacological interventions that merely mask pain or treat the symptoms of disease, Deep Tissue Laser Therapy targets the root cause of pain and discomfort. Because of this, Deep Tissue Laser Therapy is effective and the benefits are long-lasting.

What conditions can Deep Tissue Laser Therapy treat?

The number of conditions that Deep Tissue Laser Therapy can treat is extensive. Some of the more commonly seen conditions and injuries treated with laser therapy include:

  • Mechanical Low Back Pain
  • Lumbar Disc Herniation
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Rotator Cuff Tendonitis
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Nerve Root Pain (radiculopathy)
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Sprains/Strains

Laser therapy is also useful in the treatment of:
  • Osteoarthritis (knees, back, etc.)
  • Fracture healing
  • Post-surgical scarring
  • Superficial wounds
